We do not host, mirror, repackage or distribute XMRig or any other mining software. Every download reference on this site points to the project's own release page. Files obtained anywhere other than the official repository are outside our knowledge and outside our responsibility.

Nothing here is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Mining profitability depends on electricity prices, hardware, difficulty and market conditions, all of which change constantly and none of which we predict. Do not make financial decisions on the basis of this site alone.

Hardware and security risk

Mining runs a computer at sustained full load and can shorten component life if cooling is inadequate. Some steps described here — creating antivirus exclusions, changing Windows security settings — reduce the protection your system offers. We explain those trade-offs, but carrying them out is your decision and your risk.

Legal use

Mining software must be run only on hardware you own or are explicitly authorised to administer. Running it on machines belonging to an employer, school, client or anyone else without permission may be unlawful. Local rules on cryptocurrency mining vary; check the ones that apply to you.

XMRig changes between releases, and behaviour described here may differ from the version you run. We correct errors when we learn of them, but we do not warrant that every page is complete or current. When this site and the project's own documentation disagree, the project is authoritative.
